Eight individual 50-minute sessions over a four-month period. We meet by phone or Skype.
Laser calls between scheduled meetings. Blocked on a passage? Need to brainstorm on a writing point, or just need some encouragement? Call between our scheduled meetings for quick meetings to discuss your story.
Unlimited email support. Have a page or two you want to run by me for quick feedback or advice? Just email me your pages, with a note about what feedback you're looking for and I'll respond within 48 hours, Monday to Friday.
Interim goal setting. During each of the eight scheduled calls, you'll come away with a plan with clear writing targets.
Writing Feedback. Get customized comments on your writing of up to 8,000 words over the course of the four months.
Recorded calls. Each of our scheduled calls will be recorded. This way, you can refer back to the recordings again and again.
Training videos. Whether you're writing a screenplay or a memoir, you'll get a comprehensive set of training videos that cover each step of the writing process.
Concrete Knowledge, Examples and Exercises. In addition to the training videos, you'll gain concrete knowledge and understanding of how stories are constructed through examples, discussions and various exercises designed to focus your writing energy and be more productive.
Customized Feedback. Along with the training you receive in writing, you'll also receive laser-focused comments on your writing that will allow you to take your writing to the next level.
Customized Writing Schedule. Based on your unique circumstances, we'll come up with a tailored plan for you to complete your writing project during our time together.
Writing Road Maps. During each of the eight calls, we'll create an action plan for you to meet your next set of writing goals.
A Final Work. With your commitment, by the end of our time together, you'll will have completed part or all of your book or screenplay, as per the schedule you set for yourself during the first week. You will also feel an enormous sense of accomplishment and a significant increase in your confidence as a writer.

About Elizabeth Johnston
Elizabeth Johnston is an author, a certified writing instructor with over 20 years of experience, and a story structure expert. She has an Honours B.A. in Humanities and Creative Writing, and an M.F.A. in Screenwriting.
She is a prolific writer with over a hundred articles and reviews widely published in magazines and national newspapers including The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, The South China Post, and the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
During decades of writing, teaching and reviewing, Elizabeth has developed a keen understanding of what makes good stories tick. This experience has allowed her to pass on her knowledge to thousands of students and private clients so that they can go deeper into their craft.
In addition, Elizabeth was awarded a Canada Council of the Arts grant to write her creative non-fiction book, No Small Potatoes, available on Amazon. Her poetry was included in the anthology A Room at the Heart of Things, and her latest project was the writing and directing of the short film, Keepsake, based on her grandmother’s experience of World War II.
