Writing into Well-Being & Purpose

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve had so much fun giving workshops to help people own their creativity. One was at the Blue Metropolis Literary Festival, a huge festival here in Montreal, where people gorge themselves on all things literary.

I had the honour of being invited to give a workshop on “Creativity and Well-Being” at the Blue Met Festival. It was a huge hit. We had 10 amazing ladies participate.

Celebrating a Milestone(1)

A few of the lovely ladies who participated in the writing workshop at the Blue Met Literary Festival in Montreal.

During this writing workshop, we reconnected to our passions so that we are more creative and authentic in our day-to-day lives. It’s so easy to get caught up in what we think we should be doing at the expense of what we need to be doing to feed our souls. One of the women wrote to me afterwards to share that she had made an important life decision as a result of the clarity she experienced in the workshop.

Here’s what some of the participants had to say:

“Lively, stimulating & dynamic!”

“It was a comfortable & collegial environment in which to share, openly express myself and take risks.”

“It got those creative juices flowing again!”

At another workshop I gave, “Write Into Your Purpose,” we explored our past for the clues it carries as to where our passions lie. Because our purpose is tied to our passions, we need to uncover them in order to move forward. There were some lovely breakthroughs that happened during our short time together.

Here are some comments from this group:

“I enjoyed the writing process. It allowed me to share emotions that were deep inside.” Lorraine-Elizabeth Campbell

“I truly enjoyed the way each prompt was set up to bring out our purpose. Thank you.” Daniela Sanalitro

“It brought my creative self back to the forefront, and the interaction with the other participants inspired me to achieve my goals.” Robert Hicola
